About The Artist

Michelle Wagner is a Minnesota-based artist, wife and a mother whose work is deeply shaped by her family, memory and the stories that live beneath the surface. Much of her symbolism is personal, with many paintings containing quiet references to the people she loves most.

Although she earned a degree in Vocal Music Education, Michelle has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. Creating has always been her native language.

Her work is rooted in the idea of rewilding- the practice of returning to what is essential by reconnecting with nature, intuition, creativity and rhythms that make us human.

Birds, flowers, eyes, the sun, and the moon appear throughout her work as recurring symbols of protection, transformation, awakening, and the balance between feminine and masculine energies. Many pieces contain hidden narratives, inviting viewers to discover new meaning with each encounter.
